From rare vintage amplifiers to coveted boutique designs and modern high-gain rigs, TONEX connects musicians to an extraordinary range of captured guitar and bass gear.
With Free Unlimited, TONEX 2 CS removes the limit on free Tone Model and preset downloads. Players can explore more than 60,000 free and premium Tone Models and presets on ToneNET, discover the work of the global community and professional Tone Partners, and download as many free sounds as they want directly inside Player. Paid collections remain available separately.
The powerful discovery tools already available in TONEX 2 Player make that world easy to explore. Smart Search, search filters and dedicated browsers help players find inspiring sounds, while Favorites, Recently Used content and custom folders keep an expanding library within reach.
Premium tone from the first note
TONEX Free Unlimited starts with a curated library of 120 Premium Tone Models, pre-installed and ready to play at no cost.
Combining 40 Tone Models from IK Multimedia with 80 from professional Tone Partners, the collection brings professionally captured amps, cabinets and pedals straight into every player’s studio. It is an inspiring starting point in its own right and a gateway to thousands more free sounds through ToneNET.
The 15 effects already built into TONEX 2 Player give musicians the tools to shape those captures into sounds for practicing, recording and performing.
Unlimited creation and individual expression
Unlimited tone discovery is only the beginning. TONEX 2 CS now also gives musicians the freedom to create unlimited Tone Models of their own gear with the included TONEX Modeler.
Powered by IK’s V2 AI Machine Modeling™ technology, Modeler captures the sound, feel and response of real amps, cabinets and pedals. Its existing guided workflow and batch processing for Mac or PC make it easy to turn the sound of a treasured amplifier, favorite pedal or distinctive rig into a personal collection of digital tones.
Completed captures join the connected TONEX library, ready to play, record and share through ToneNET. With no limit on captures or uploads, every musician can become a tone creator and contribute their own sonic signature to a worldwide community.
From a shared link to an inspiring sound
Version 2.2 also introduces a more direct connection between shared inspiration and the playing experience.
Paste a ToneNET Tone Model or preset URL into the TONEX search bar, and the application finds and selects that content directly. A recommendation from a friend, a favorite creator or the wider community becomes an immediate route to discovering a new sound.
Together with integrated browsing, auditioning and downloading, this new feature brings the community even closer to the music.
Start free and explore more possibilities
TONEX Free Unlimited opens the door to a platform that can grow with every player’s ambitions.
Optional Signature and Tone Partner collections bring new sounds and distinctive creative perspectives. The paid TONEX Rig upgrade adds advanced routing, multi-amp setups and expanded effects. TONEX hardware takes compatible tones from the computer to rehearsal and the stage.
Each addition builds on the same connected experience, with the free edition providing a powerful foundation for discovering, playing and creating.
