IK Multimedia is proud to sponsor and participate in this year’s Movement Festival, happening this Memorial Day weekend in Detroit’s historic Hart Plaza. This 3-day event brings together the world’s biggest DJs from all corners of the globe. The festival is now in its 14th year and continues to thrive in Detroit, birthplace of Motown and Techno music. IK’s mobile DJ mixer, iRig MIX, takes a featured spot in the official artist gift bags, which will be provided to 150 of the hottest acts, including MOBY, Richie Hawtin, John Digweed, Masters At Work, Carl Craig, Dennis Ferrer, and more.
Since its inception in 2000, the Movement Festival has celebrated electronic music, DJ culture, and Detroit’s legacy as the birthplace of techno. This year’s edition features a stellar range of global talent, while staying true to its underground roots. Sitting directly across the river from Windsor, Canada, Detroit’s historic Hart Plaza will once again play host to the festival and its hundreds of thousands of fans. Each day, attendees can expect a variety of performances on the outdoor stages, then the industrial streets of Detroit come alive with afterparties throughout the nights.
