"Compared to the competitive products which come with just IN and OUT ports, IK's interface offers an extremely useful THRU port if you need to connect other MIDI devices simultaneously. The perceived latency is very low and can even be seen as lower than that of some USB interfaces for PC and Mac. I also really appreciated the USB charge port."
Strumenti Musicali's Giulio Curiel has taken an in-depth look at IK'S iRig MIDI and likes what he discovers. Read some of his cemments here.
"Compared to the competitive products which come with just IN and OUT ports, IK's interface offers an extremely useful THRU port if you need to connect other MIDI devices simultaneously."
"Another unique benefit of the iRig MIDI is the micro USB connector on the device. With its help you can use a standard USB power adapter to charge your iPad/iPhone which prevents the internal battery running out of power and allows you to jam virtually indefinitely."
"Just connect it and it works. Very well. And it always works."
"The perceived latency is very low and can even be seen as lower than that of some USB interfaces for PC and Mac. I also really appreciated the USB charge port."

We liked
The flawless operation. And the MIDI THRU and charge port.
Here are some quotes from the original review in Italian.
