AmpliTube Nominated as The Audio Product of The Year!

What is particularly notable is that out of the eight products nominated in this category, AmpliTube for iPhone/iPad is the only iOS based solution that has been selected. The other nominees are either Mac software or hardware add-ons which makes AmpliTube standout as a unique product in the list.

The MacUser Awards recognise the best products released each year for every Apple platform. Covering a range of categories right across the market, they reflect the breadth of the industry, from the biggest names to smart solutions in new fields – only the quality of the product counts.

This year, we are proud to announce that AmpliTube for iPhone/iPad has been nominated for the award in the category for 'Best Audio Product of the Year'.
The voting took place between July and September and was based on votes cast by thousands of MacUser readers together with nominations from contributors and writers for the magazine.

What is particularly notable is that out of the eight products nominated in this category, AmpliTube for iPhone is the only iOS based solution that has been selected. The other nominees are either Mac software or hardware add-ons which makes AmpliTube standout as a unique product in the list.

The final results will be announced in London on the 20th October 2011. We will be sure to keep you posted!

Here are some comments from MacUser's sister magazine Computer Shopper who reviewed AmpliTube in their November 2011 issue:

"Sound quality is excellent, and the familiar controls mean guitarists can find the tones they want quickly."

"The Twin Reverb amp captures the sparkle of gently overdriven valves, while the Fender Blender pedal produces wonderful, gurgling distortion that sounds bang up to date – not bad for an effect modelled on a 1960s classic."

"For the best of both worlds, the Fender modules can be added to the main app as an in-app purchase, as can a huge range of other effects and an eight-track virtual tape recorder."

and their conclusion was:
"for rehearsing and song writing, we thoroughly recommend it"
