"Since the iRig HD’s converters are 24-bit, this improves on an already respectable noise floor when using this connection type."

Music Tech magazine has reviewed iRig HD in their September 2013 issue and have awarded it their Music Tech Choice award.

Here are some of the key comments from Andy Price's review:

"The iconic and pioneering iRig from IK Multimedia finally gets a make-over in HD form."

"The input stage of the iRig HD coped perfectly well with our double-humbucker output and the input has a gain dial for optimum gain-staging."

"The sound quality is quite neutral in terms of spectral balance, with plenty of detail and dynamics but without being excessively bassy or bright."

"The Dock port offers much better sound quality than the headphone port, and since the iRig HD’s converters are 24-bit, this improves on an already respectable noise floor when using this connection type."

And the final verdict is:
"... the sound quality is a major upgrade from the original"

iRig HD receives 9/10 score and the Music Tech Choice award
