Ultra precise
UltraTuner is the most accurate tuning app available for iPhone and iPod touch. It sports an advanced and exceedingly quick note-detection engine that delivers accuracy down to +/- 1/100 of a cent, making it ideal for precision tuning and calibration of all instruments from electric guitars to analog synthesizers and beyond.
What’s more, its engine is one of the fastest and most responsive ever designed. It delivers its readings almost quicker than the eye can detect and well before the note transient attack has leveled. To put it simply, it’s more effective, portable and convenient than a hardware tuner could ever possibly be.
Ultra wearable
UltraTuner has been streamlined for Apple Watch. As such, it’s been designed to fit seamlessly into musicians’ already existent UltraTuner workflow. The app runs on iPhone, where it receives an audio signal via either the built-in microphone or through an audio interface like IK’s iRig® HD or iRig® 2.
When the Apple Watch compatible version of UltraTuner has been installed on an iPhone, it can be paired with Apple Watch via the Watchkit extension app. This lets musicians view the tuning information being processed on their iPhone via UltraTuner’s “STAGE mode.”
This mode provides a bright and highly visible display with two large yellow LED-like wing arrays that light up in progressive amounts according to whether the note played is flat or sharp. When the note is in tune, the display turns bright neon green. In addition to this classic display, Apple Watch users can also select an alternate visualization that simply shows the musical note played, with arrows below that indicate whether the note is flat or sharp.
