60 players.One expressive instrument.

Some instruments reproduce an orchestra. Sinphonica® lets you shape one. Created in Italy and recorded at the legendary Officine Meccaniche studios in Milan, Sinphonica brings together exceptional Italian musicians, meticulous sampling and a new generation of expressive technology. Inspired by the same Italian tradition that transformed raw materials into timeless works of art, Sinphonica approaches orchestral sound as something to be shaped, refined and brought to life. From the intimacy of a single phrase to the scale of a cinematic score, every element is designed around one idea: give composers the power to sculpt sound into emotion.

OVERVIEW

Sinphonica Overview

The italian orchestra, reimagined

Italy has shaped the language of music and art for centuries.
From the great instrument makers to opera, from sculpture to cinema, Italian creativity has always combined extraordinary craftsmanship with the pursuit of emotion.
Sinphonica carries that philosophy into a new generation of orchestral instruments.
Carefully selected Italian musicians, world-class recording, meticulous sampling and advanced performance technology come together not simply to preserve the sound of an orchestra, but to make it malleable in the hands of the composer.
The result is unmistakably alive: lyrical when you need intimacy, powerful when the score demands scale, and capable of being shaped continuously between the two.

Shape every performance

Sinphonica gives you the detail of a scoring stage without forcing you to engineer one.
Multiple microphone perspectives let you move from the immediacy of the players to the natural dimension of the room, while IK’s advanced orchestral technologies give you even deeper control over articulation, dynamics, expression and space.
Rather than simply selecting a sound, you can shape how it speaks, how it moves and where it lives.
The orchestra becomes your material. The performance becomes your sculpture.

More than a Library

Sinphonica begins with the authenticity of real musicians performing together, but goes far beyond simply capturing their sound.
Every articulation, dynamic, transition, microphone perspective and performance control becomes part of a creative palette that lets you sculpt the orchestra around your music.
Shape the phrase. Shape the dynamics. Shape the space.
From the finest performance detail to the entire orchestral image, Sinphonica puts expression directly in your hands.

Acoustic Realism with PALCO™ Technology

PALCO™ is Sinphonica’s 3D orchestral positioning system, powered by proprietary virtual stage positioning technology.
Unlike conventional stereo panning, PALCO uses impulse responses captured from multiple positions across the stage and multiple microphone configurations. As you move a section, PALCO interpolates between these acoustic measurements, reproducing the corresponding changes in localization, depth, room response and microphone perspective.
This allows each section to be positioned naturally within the recorded acoustic space, while maintaining the spatial character of the original hall.
