TONEX MODELER

Perfect Tone. Faster.

Capture multiple amps, pedals, or full rigs in one session

TONEX Modeler captures the sound and feel of your guitar and bass amps, cabinets, and pedals, turning them into highly accurate digital versions called Tone Models. Play and record with them in TONEX software, or transfer them to compatible TONEX hardware for live performance.

TONEX Modeler is a free standalone application included in the TONEX 2 Player installer.

YOUR GEAR, READY TO PLAY ANYWHERE

Preserve your favorite amp settings, capture a pedal-and-amp combination, or build a digital collection of the rigs you love. TONEX Modeler works with standard recording and reamping equipment, with no proprietary capture hardware required. Its guided workflow walks you through the connections needed for your setup. Capture multiple amps, pedals, or rigs in one session, then train them together later, even on another computer. Training is 70–80% faster than the previous version, with times as short as two minutes depending on your computer. Optimized for NVIDIA GPUs and Apple Silicon Macs, Modeler automatically stops training once the ideal results are reached, so you spend less time waiting and more time playing.

OVERVIEW

CAPTURE THE SOUNDS YOU WANT TO KEEP

Batch processing for power users

Capture multiple amps, pedals, or full rigs in one session, and train them all later, even on a different machine. TONEX Modeler’s batch processing saves time when making multiple captures. Whether you’re in a studio or at home, you can capture once, process anytime, and let Modeler handle the heavy lifting.

Professional results every time

Each Tone Model from TONEX Modeler is phase-perfect and ultra-low-latency, keeping stereo rigs and bass DI blends perfectly aligned without manual tweaks. Players and studio engineers can record with confidence and enjoy a natural, responsive feel in the studio or on stage.

Unmatched tone and feel

TONEX Modeler captures the detail of your amps and pedals with natural dynamics and touch response, from subtle cleans to high-gain amps. The new capture engine excels at high-gain and extreme tones, delivering a tighter low end, richer harmonics, and clearer sound even at maximum gain. Create professional, mix-ready Tone Models that preserve what makes your gear inspiring to play.

Organize, archive, and share with ease

Capture recordings are stored as portable WAV files with embedded metadata, making it simple to transfer sessions, archive recordings, or batch-train on another machine. Use a faster computer for quicker training, keep your captures organized, and move smoothly from capturing your gear to sharing finished Tone Models on ToneNET.
TECHNOLOGY

THE TECHNOLOGY BEHIND YOUR TONE

Your gear has a voice of its own. IK’s Advanced AI Machine Modeling™ technology captures it with remarkable precision. TONEX Modeler’s V2 engine creates hyper-realistic Tone Models that preserve the sound, feel, and response of your amps, cabinets, and pedals, down to the nuances that make them yours.

Hear the harmonic complexity. Feel the response to your pick attack. From delicate cleans and edge-of-breakup tones to aggressive high-gain sounds, V2 captures retain your gear’s character with a tighter low end, richer harmonics, and greater clarity, even at extreme gain.

The result is more than a convincing amp sound. It’s the experience of playing your favorite gear, ready for TONEX software and compatible hardware.
