How do I import my samples from previous IK instruments (aka Legacy Instruments)?

SampleTank 3 CS (Free) can be used to import your sounds from SampleTank 2 L/XL, SampleTron, SampleMoog, Sonik Synth 2, Miroslav Philharmonik (CE), and the Xpansion Tank 2 titles for use in SampleTank 4.

SampleTank 3 CS can be found in My Products for users with legacy sounds. Any titles imported to SampleTank 3 will automatically appear in SampleTank 4 along with all other SampleTank 3 sounds.

If you do not see your SampleTank 3 sounds in SampleTank 4, click the ‘Settings’ icon in lower right of SampleTank and select ‘Sound Content’. Add or Update your path and click ‘Rescan Instruments’.

To import legacy sounds:

1. Launch SampleTank 3
2. View the main PLAY page (loaded by default)
3. On the left side is your Instrument browser, click the small "menu" icon in the lower left of the Instrument browser window
4. From that menu, select Import Legacy Instruments
5. Name your imported library folder
6. Choose the disk path for the location of the sounds you want to import by clicking 'Browse' and navigating to the folder which stores your sounds to import
7. Click IMPORT
8. You will see a progress window showing the importing, please wait until finished

Note: SampleTank 2 XL sounds are included with the SampleTank 3 library. SampleTank 3 sounds, including the SampleTank 2 XL sounds will be found in the SampleTank 4 library. Miroslav Philharmonik 1 sounds can be found in an updated SampleTank 3 format when purchased inside of Miroslav Philharmonik 2.
