The iLoud Micro Monitors may seem small, but they pack a massive sound for their size and price. Whether you're a musician on the go that wants studio-quality monitoring that fits in a travel bag or a radio host needing the best monitoring for podcasting, the iLoud Micro Monitors are an affordable speaker solution for all types of applications.
Mark Flint is an audio producer, podcast host, and guitar player that has worked for Clear Channel Radio as both an on-air personality and production director for three radio stations. He currently hosts Open Field Radio heard in 47 countries and recently got the iLoud Micro Monitors. He's what says about them:
The Micro Monitors are worth way more than their price point. At the end of it all, I literally packed up my Genelecs and KRKs. It was a strange feeling, but these little speakers really do outperform them. I can't say enough.
"I have never been so completely impressed with a product as I am with the iLoud Micro Monitors. I set them up, plugged them in, and from the first note of Roxy Music's "Avalon" playing through them, I couldn't believe what my ears were hearing!
"The bass was warm and true. Way truer than my other sets of monitors. The highs sparkled just right. The width and dimension was way more than I expected. And the "Z" space depth was evident as well. It really is astonishing!"
Why iLoud Micros sound so good
An internal 56-bit digital signal processor (DSP) takes care of the frequency and phase response of the monitors as well as controls the dynamic range so that the drivers are always operating efficiently. It also acts as a digital crossover that allows for invisibly smooth transitions between the drivers themselves.
Each tweeter and woofer is powered by ultra-efficient class D power amplifiers that push a total of 50W RMS with amazing low-end response down to 55Hz (-3dB) — the best bass response in its category.
Each monitor sports a 3/4" silk dome tweeter, a 3" high-rigidity custom composite material woofer and a large-flaring front-firing bass reflex port. Thanks to these features, it's able to deliver smooth and extended high frequencies, an exceptionally open, focused midrange and a solid, controlled low end.
Simply put, iLoud Micro Monitor's sound is so good that it's nearly inconceivable for a speaker system of this size and at this price point.
