IK Multimedia is pleased to announce the opening of ToneNET, the new preset-sharing community for AmpliTube 5. ToneNET enables AmpliTube’s 3.5 million registered users to explore a whole new dimension of music networking and enjoy a brand-new way to reach people who share the same passion and interest in making music.
ToneNET is a FREE web platform with social features dedicated to guitar and bass players and all AmpliTube 5 users. Everything is designed to make ToneNET the place for exchanging AmpliTube 5 presets with others and for finding the latest signal chains from VIP artists and brands.
Two Ways to Connect
Day or night, players can find new sounds or upload their own with direct access to ToneNET from within any version of AmpliTube 5, even the free Custom Shop edition. Users can also connect to ToneNET via their web browser for browsing, searching and selecting presets and to interact with other users.
Getting Better Together
ToneNET enables users to create their own music-based profile where they can upload audio demos, add music links and interact with other users, making it the perfect home base for promoting music and getting immediate feedback from fellow players. Users can also simply enjoy what’s happening around them by listening to, liking and following other ToneNET members.
New Tones Anytime
Online ToneNET presents the visitor with a continuous feed of the latest preset postings. Represented as cards, all posts include a detailed view of the AmpliTube preset chain. A list view is also available for faster navigation. By “Liking” presets online users will be able to select their preferred presets and have them immediately available in the “Liked” preset section within AmpliTube 5. In AmpliTube 5 users can also browse and sort ToneNET presets by Name, Artist/Band, Song/Album, User, Rating and more.
Full Integration
With AmpliTube 5’s latest release, users will find a new ToneNET button within the program, which they can click to upload their own presets or search for new ones. Any presets selected from ToneNET will load and play directly inside AmpliTube 5. If the preset signal chain contains gear not owned by the user, that gear can be activated via the Custom Shop and can be tested for 3 days just like AmpliTube users demo any gear.
Legendary Signal Chains
From the homepage of ToneNET online, users can also access the growing VIP section where all the featured artist and brand presets are hosted. VIP presets are free to download and open in AmpliTube 5 in the same manner as user presets. VIP artist and brand pages feature a similar layout to user profile pages with the same easy-to-navigate controls.
Build Your Own Community
ToneNET encourages users to create their profile pages and visit those of other members. Public profiles include a bio section of the user with an image, a list of the user’s shared AmpliTube presets, stats on their ToneNET activity and follow/unfollow actions.
Each user also has a private profile area where they can see all of their shared presets and all presets they have liked. By clicking on the Follower tab users can manage their fanbase and follow others in turn. Users will be also able to comment presets and engage with other users on conversations regarding sounds, gear, music and more.
Get Started Now
ToneNET is open today and is free for all IK users in a public beta version as IK continues to add and refine features.
New users will need an IK account to join, but they don’t need AmpliTube 5 for creating their profile and connecting with others or simply watching a YouTube video on the platform. For uploading and downloading presets version 5.4 or greater of AmpliTube 5 is required.
If users don’t have AmpliTube 5 yet, they can grab the latest version of AmpliTube 5 CS for FREE and experience ToneNET’s preset-sharing community immediately.
