IK's iLoud Micro Monitors are taking over the live-sound game and popping up everywhere.
Broadcast Music Mix Engineer Paul Special from ABC's hit morning show "Good Morning America" shared a photo with us using iLoud Micro Monitors for a special performance on the show.
Here's what Paul Special has to say about choosing iLoud Micro Monitors as his go-to monitoring solution for broadcast music mixes and live performances on "Good Morning America."
I am all over the place and I take these things with me wherever I go. They come in handy being lightweight and portable and even screw onto mic stands for easy setup. I've used them for years and love how much sound you can get from such a tiny speaker.
I used them all the time for my work with Good Morning America and other TV shows and music projects. They were great to have when I did the broadcast music mix of Jimmie Allen's performance on GMA for the Dancing with the Stars (DWTS) cast reveal at Disneyland in Los Angeles.
They are a great speaker to have in challenging locations like we've done for music segments in Time Square for Riverdance and Phantom of the Opera. But they are detailed enough for me to mix on in more controlled studio environments as well. You can't go wrong with these!
Paul is currently using iLoud Micros for GMA's summer concert series every Friday in New York's Central Park, including performances from K-Pop sensations AESPA, One Republic and Macklemore featuring Tones + I, with many more to come.
Paul also served as audio supervisor and broadcast mix engineer for ABC's Prime Time Juneteenth Special "Sound of Freedom" with performances by Jon Batiste, Patti LaBelle, Marvin Sapp and Jimmie Allen.
