Composer and Producer Michael Nielsen's YouTube channel usually focuses on guitar gear and tones. In this video, however, he demos IK's new iLoud Precision 5 studio monitors. He sets them up on top of a $10,000 pair of ATC SCM25 3-way monitors and compares the two. He also tries running just guitar through the Precisions to see how they sound for guitarists looking to upgrade their home studios.
Wow! They're like the real deal... the width sounds fantastic.
This is punching way above its weight class, but it still sounds balanced. These are definitely worth every dollar they're charging. Definitely look at these if you want to take the next leap up into studio monitors.
They sound phenomenal. I could easily work on these. And they sound great with just guitar going through them because you get the bottom of the 4x12 cab. They sound really fun for that.
