In this video, Patrick Hunter plays different basses through a sampling of the 150 bass Tone Models included with AmpliTube Tonex Pedal and the over 400 free Tone Models for bass available on ToneNET!
Along the way, Patrick covers the onboard controls for fine-tuning your tone and discusses briefly how to use TONEX software to load new Tone Models to the pedal. But mostly, it's all about hearing the pedal in action with some ripping basslines played fingerstyle and with a pick.
This is probably the most impressive piece of hardware and software that I've ever played in terms of amp modeling.
I think it's just insane how many different amp models as well as cab models there are.
This is useful for different situations and it's only four hundred dollars, which is just incredible for all these different tones. And this is only the beginning. There's going to be a lot more models.
It's exciting to see technology like this becoming so popular.
"I've had a blast playing around with their VIR technology, or the volumetric impulse response. Basically, this is where you're able to choose the microphones you want to go with the speakers you chose.
"It's very straightforward, but at the same time, it allows you to go in-depth to change everything to your liking. From there you can simply save your preset, throw it onto your TONEX pedal and you're good to go."
