Pianist Mag Reviews Pianoverse

“The Pianoverse interface is slick and easy to navigate.”

In this hands-on review, Pianist Magazine explores IK's Pianoverse, trying out all 5 currently available pianos with each one getting a mini-review and a mention of the author's favorite presets.

This is an excellent read if you're wondering which Pianoverse piano might be best for you or just want to learn more. Here are some highlights and a link to the full review below.

I've tried out a fair few pieces of software over the years, and this is the closest I've come to trying out a virtual instrument that sounds this close to an acoustic piano.

Whilst it is of course not the same as having an acoustic Steinway in front of you, it certainly emanates a lot of the recognisable Steinway qualities: power, warmth, richness and colour.

I was particularly impressed with the pedal and piano mallet noise feature. As I pressed down on my pedal, I could hear the delightful 'ttssss'; that iconic sound of the mallets echoing off the strings. It's a small detail, but it's worth its weight in gold.
