At first you'll see iRig MIDI and Slide Control and iBend apps from Rouet Production being used to perform a great cover of "She's a maniac" from Michael Sembello, followed by an iRig MIDI tutorial (starts at minute 2:00).
Jérémy Rouet from Rouet Production, the developers of Slide Control and iBend, told us the following about iRig MIDI.
"iRig MIDI is the best MIDI interface to date. It allows you to use your iPad as part of your MIDI setup thanks to its MIDI Thru and USB power port.
With iRig MIDI your iPad becomes an essential accessory just like a synth or a MIDI controller!
Just unleash your imagination!"
In original French:
"iRig MIDI est la meilleure interface MIDI du moment. Elle permet d'incorporer l'iPad dans votre configuration MIDI grâce au port MIDI thru et à l'alimentation USB de l'iPad. Avec iRig MIDI votre iPad devient un périphérique matériel similaire à un synthétiseur ou à un contrôleur midi ! Laissez - place a votre imagination !"
Slide Control FluidSynth is an iPad music application for performing and recording musicians. It creates the perfect iPad interface for easy improvisation.
With 890 sound font sounds to start with, you have a full palette at your finger tips. You can choose any scale (major, minor, pentatonic, blues...) and slide your finger to play any melody. With Slide Control FluidSynth you do not have wrong notes, and your movements create wonderful melodies and harmonies. Expand your imagination, expand your song writing! Slide Control FluidSynth is easy to play and easy to improvise.
iBend Pro is a fantastic XY controller, you can set all MIDI controller values and pitch bend on 4 axes which are fully programmable (min value, max value, action on release, inverse axis…) Two Modes of play are available: Fix Mod, which gives you fixed MIDI values on the screen. Alternatively, Free mod interprets your movement.
