We just posted a new tutorial video that shows our new White Channel and British Channel processors in action in a variety of applications. Both modules are models of the EQ and dynamics sections of well known consoles from the same maker. White Channel emulates a more modern console, which became the standard for hip hop and R&B tracks starting in the ‘90s, and which has a full bandwidth and ultra clean sound. British Channel comes from a more vintage-sounding board, which has been used on countless hit recordings.
The video starts with White Channel processing a hip-hop drum loop, and looks at its EQ and dynamics controls. It then switches to British Channel to work on a rock rhythm guitar part. Next it’s back to White Channel, to use the Gate/Expander section to gate out snare leakage from a kick drum track. Finally, both modules are compared on a full mix, allowing you to hear the differences in their sounds.
