Exploring TONEX MESA/Boogie

Watch how to create killer tones by quad-tracking MESA Tone Models

TONEX lets you experiment in your favorite DAW by effortlessly combining sought-after amp and effect tones that would cost a fortune to collect otherwise. You can remove the cab from TONEX Tone Models and use your own IRs to customize your tracks further.

Ken Jacobsen uses the MESA/Boogie Reference Signature Collection for TONEX to explore these possibilities. He creates a massive-sounding production by quad-tracking guitar parts and using the same cab IR with different MESA/Boogie Tone Models. Have a look.

This piece of music has quad-track guitars throughout, except for the lead. I had to use two different TONEX Tone Models to match the sound of the amp I used.

You can remove the cabinet in these and put your own IR in there. TONEX is cool that way. You have all these options and snapshots.

Do I recommend this MESA/Boogie collection? Sure. For 100 bucks, you get a lot of tones. If you're looking for that MESA/Boogie sound, pick it up on the ToneNET website.
