The ARC software quickly improved the in-room sound quality significantly. The typical faults of auto-tuning systems could not be observed. If a certain correction filter is not wanted, it can be corrected in the editor.

The improvements through the ARC processing are so beneficial in practice that the additional A/D/A stage can be considered insignificant.

The ARC is quite unique as a standalone room correction unit. There is little to really compare it to. MiniDSP's Flex with balanced I/O is double the price, and Trinnov's Nova is almost 10 times the price.

Other similarly priced DSPs lack the polished user experience and often balanced I/O.
